Senior Registrar in Small Animal Surgery
Dr Arana Parslow
BVSc BSc(Vet) MANZCVS

Arana graduated from the University of Sydney in 2004. Following graduation she practiced in small animal practice on the central coast of New South Wales before moving to the UK in 2007 to work in small animal practice.
In 2009 Arana returned to Australia to join the team at Australia Zoo’s wildlife hospital in Queensland. It was here, working on injured Koalas, where her journey to surgical specialisation began.
In 2010 Arana completed a one year mixed internship at North Shore Veterinary Specialist Centre before commencing work with the surgical team at Animal Referral Hospital, Homebush. In 2011 Arana successfully completed her membership examinations in small animal surgery from the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists.
She has now completed her three year residency training program in small animal surgery at ARH under the guidance of Dr David Simpson and Dr Sarah Goldsmid. After spending time working with specialist surgeons in the United States and Europe and she is currently working towards sitting her fellowship examinations with the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists.
Arana enjoys time outdoors bush walking, swimming, gardening and perhaps most of all, a good game of Frisbee with her terrier, Link, and his cheeky younger canine companion, Louis.
