The Sydney Homebush Emergency Vet Hospital provides our community with specialist pet care, following referral from your local vet. Whilst we offer emergency vet care 24 hours a day, our specialist vets care for specific conditions and illnesses which require more particular treatment plans.

If your pet has received a referral from your local vet for a specialist service or surgery, ARH Homebush’s team of specialists and consultant services can be booked for an appointment. Although an emergency vet hospital, ARH specialists work alongside your pet’s local vet to develop a coordinated and considered approach to your pet’s care.

During arrival at ARH Homebush, patients are triaged so cases are seen in order of emergency, not necessarily in order of arrival. You need to fill in vet hospital paperwork with information about yourself and your pet. An experienced emergency and critical care vet will discuss your pet’s history and outline your treatment options and approximate costs for procedures.

If your pet is admitted to ARH Homebush Sydney for treatment, you will be asked to sign a consent form and leave a minimum deposit of 50% of the estimated costs for treatment to proceed.

During your pet’s stay and treatment, your Homebush emergency vet will keep in touch with you. If ongoing care is needed following emergency treatment your pet will typically return to your regular vet. If your pet requires further treatment by a Homebush specialist or consultant, our Sydney vet hospital will work closely with you and your vet to ensure a coordinated approach to your pet’s care.
