Dr Claire Bowland

Claire graduated from the University of Sydney in 2002 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and began her career in Small Animal Medicine at the busy Quakers Hill Veterinary Hospital.

Claire later relocated to the Central Coast and worked for Terrigal Veterinary Hospital for four years. During this time she undertook training in Veterinary Acupuncture and in Practice Management. Claire began working as an Emergency Vet in 2008 and has worked for a few of Sydney’s 24 hour Specialist Centres. Claire has completed training in abdominal ultrasound and emergency ultrasound techniques.

Claire has been the Clinical Director and works as an Emergency Vet at the Animal Referral Hospital Gosford since 2016 , previously known as the Animal Emergency Centre.  In 2017 she successfully completed a Graduate Certificate in Emergency and Critical Care ( Veterinary) with the University of Melbourne and she has a particular interests in Ventilation ( Life-support) and Critical care cases. Claire lives on the Central Coast with her children, pet Sphynx cat BatCat and Italian Greyhound, Kitty,  not to mention a few chickens and some bees.
