Dr Selvi Jegatheeson

Selvi obtained a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from the University of Auckland, followed by an honours year completing a research project at the Auckland Cancer Society Research Centre.
She then moved to Melbourne in 2012, and obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Melbourne. After a year in general practice, Selvi completed a medical oncology internship at a busy private practice. She then undertook a three year medical oncology residency at the U-Vet Werribee Animal Hospital, which she completed in 2021.
Selvi has re-joined the ARH team as a Registered Specialist in Veterinary Oncology, after successfully passing Fellowship Examinations in 2022. Currently, Selvi consults on Mondays.
She is also pursuing a PhD at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, where she aims to develop novel therapies for both people and pets with cancer.
