Following graduation Sarah worked in private small animal practice in Brisbane and the UK. She then returned to the University of Queensland and undertook first an internship and then a small animal surgical residency.
After this Sarah moved to Canberra and started the first small animal referral based surgical practice in Canberra. For many years she has been the only registered Specialist Small Animal Surgeon in the ACT.
In 2002 Sarah relocated her practice to a purpose built facility in Gungahlin. In 2014 the practice moved to become Animal Referral Hospital Canberra based in Fyshwick. Sarah has extensive experience in orthopaedics (including fracture repair, stifle reconstruction and spinal cases) and all areas of soft tissue surgery.
When not at work Sarah is at home on the farm that she shares with husband, as well as her dog, cat, horses and cattle.
