Matt graduated from Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Radiation Sciences) in 1998.
He then went on to work in a human radiography clinic, where he was trained in all aspects of general radiography, CT and from 2002, predominantly MRI. Between 2006-2008, he split his time between research MRI (mostly functional MRI) for the University of Queensland, and MRI at a Brisbane based hospital. He completed his Graduate Certificate in Magnetic Resonance Technology from the University of Queensland in 2007.
Matt went on to perform MRI at clinics in New South Wales, whilst also being a part-time lecturer and marker in the Sydney University Medical Radiation Sciences program. He returned to Brisbane in 2011 to commence his forensic radiography career, which he thoroughly enjoys to this day, when he is not at Animal Referral Hospital.
In his spare time, Matt may be found on the golf course, endlessly renovating his house, or maybe at a movie.
