Dr Matt

Emergency Veterinarian

Matt grew up on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland and graduated James Cook University, Townsville in 2013 where upon he moved to Sydney in 2014.

He started a job in a general practice and stayed there for 4 years with last 2 of those years focused on after hours/ECC before beginning work at ARH in October 2017.

Matt’s favourite aspect of working in ECC is dealing with the most intensive and critical patients while appreciating the difference you make in their wellbeing in such a short period of time. He greatly enjoys working at ARH due to the excellent staff and mentorship coupled with a varied and challenging case load.

While his family still live in QLD Matt calls Sydney home with his wife and son and 2x Dogs (“Doxy”—Irish Wolfhound x Boxer & "Stella" —Border Collie) and 2x Cats (“Clawde” and “Meowcolm”— Both DSH).

In his spare time Matt tries to stay active with morning jogs and the occasional game of golf, watches cricket whenever he can and otherwise entertains himself with collecting/enjoying scotch whiskies and re-watching old sitcoms.
